Contact exchange
Contact exchange lets you collect someone's contact details when they save your card. After a person saves your contact to their device, Lynkle prompts them to share their own name, email, and phone number back to you, so you both walk away with each other's information.
How it works
When someone views your Lynkle card and taps Save Contact, two things happen:
- They get your details. Your contact information is saved to their device.
- You get theirs. A form appears asking for their first name, email, and optionally their last name and phone number. When they tap Send, their details are delivered to your Contacts page.
The person can also tap Skip to dismiss the form without sharing anything.
Contact exchange is always on for every card. There is nothing you need to enable or configure.
Viewing your contacts
Every contact you collect appears on your Contacts page. Each entry shows the person's name, email, phone number (if provided), which card they saved, and when the exchange happened.
Downloading a contact
Click the download button next to a contact's name to save them as a vCard (.vcf) file. You can then import it into your phone's address book, email client, or any app that supports vCard files.
Deleting a contact
Click the delete button next to a contact's name to permanently remove them from your Lynkle account.
Deleting a contact cannot be undone. If the contact was already synced to Google Contacts, Outlook, or Salesforce, the synced copy is not affected.
Notifications
When someone exchanges their details with you, Lynkle notifies you in two ways:
- Email with the new contact's details and a link to your Contacts page.
- Push notification on iOS if you have the Lynkle iOS app installed.
A badge also appears on the Contacts tab showing how many new contacts you haven't viewed yet.
CRM sync
If you have connected Google Contacts, Outlook, or Salesforce in Settings > Integrations, new contacts are automatically synced to your connected accounts each time someone exchanges their details with you.
See Google Contacts, Outlook Contacts, or Salesforce for setup instructions.
Free vs. Pro plans
Contact exchange works on all plans, but there are differences in what you can access:
| Free | Pro / Teams | |
|---|---|---|
| Collect contacts | Yes | Yes |
| View contacts | First 3 only | Unlimited |
| Download as vCard | First 3 only | Unlimited |
| Delete contacts | No | Yes |

On the free plan, a banner on the Contacts page shows how many additional contacts are waiting for you. Upgrade to Pro to unlock them all.
