Billing & user management

Teams

As a team owner, you control who has access to your organization and how many seats your plan includes. This page covers managing your subscription, inviting and removing team members, and assigning roles.

Billing

Viewing your plan

Go to Settings > Billing to see your current plan, the number of seats in use, and how many seats are still available.

The Plan seats section shows a progress bar with your usage:

  • Seats in use - The number of active team members (including you).
  • Allocated seats - The total number of seats included in your subscription.
  • Available seats - How many more people you can invite before needing to add seats.

Managing your subscription

Click Manage subscription on the Settings > Billing page to open the Stripe billing portal. From there you can:

  • Update your payment method
  • View and download invoices
  • Add or remove seats
  • Cancel your subscription

Only team owners can manage the subscription. Team members will see a message to contact their team owner for billing changes.

Adding more seats

If you've used all your available seats and need to invite more people, click Manage subscription on the Billing page to update your seat count through the Stripe billing portal.

Managing team members

The people page

Go to Settings > People to see everyone in your organization. The People tab is only visible to team owners.

The table shows each team member's name, email, role, number of cards, and status. There are three possible statuses:

  • Active - The member has accepted their invitation and can access the organization.
  • Invited - An invitation has been sent but hasn't been accepted yet.
  • Inactive - The member's access has been disabled by a team owner.

Inviting team members

  1. Open the invite dialog

Go to Settings > People and click Invite people.

  2. Enter their email address

Type the email address of the person you want to invite and click Send. They'll receive an email with a link to create their Lynkle account and join your organization.

  3. Wait for them to accept

The invited person appears in the people table with a status of Invited. Once they create their account using the link in the email, they are automatically added to your organization as a Member.

Each invitation expires after 7 days. If someone hasn't accepted yet, you can resend the invitation from the people table by clicking Resend invite next to their name.

Users who already have an active Lynkle Pro or Teams subscription on another account cannot accept a team invitation. They will need to contact support for help.

You can also invite new people while creating a team card. When you choose Invite new user during card creation, the invitation is sent automatically and the card is created as soon as they accept.

Editing a team member

Click the edit icon next to any team member in the people table to open the edit dialog. Depending on the member's status, you can:

For active members:

  • Change their role - Switch between Member and Owner using the role dropdown.
  • Deactivate their account - Toggle the status switch to Inactive. While inactive, the member cannot access the organization, their cards become unavailable, and their seat is freed up on your plan.

For invited users:

  • Change their role - Set the role they'll receive when they accept.
  • Revoke the invitation - Toggle the revoke switch to cancel all pending invitations sent to that email address.

For inactive members:

  • Reactivate their account - Toggle the status switch back to Active. This requires an available seat on your plan.
  • Change their role - Switch between Member and Owner.

Removing a team member

To remove an active team member, open the edit dialog and toggle their status to Inactive. Their access is revoked immediately, their cards become unavailable, and their seat becomes available for someone else.

You cannot deactivate the only owner of an organization. If you need to step down as owner, first assign the Owner role to another active member.
