Every Lynkle card has its own shareable link that anyone can open in a browser to view and save your contact details. No app install required on their end.

Your card link is built around your handle, a short, personalized identifier that makes the URL easy to remember and easy to share out loud.

Your handle

A handle is the part of your card URL that comes after lynkle.com/. For example, if your handle is jane-smith, your card lives at:

lynkle.com/jane-smith

Handles are great for saying your card out loud ("just go to lynkle.com slash jane dash smith"), printing on marketing materials, or adding to an email signature. They're much friendlier than a random string of characters.

Claiming your handle

You claim your handle when you create a card. In the card editor, scroll to the Claim your handle section and either type your own or tap the wand button to generate one automatically from your name and company.

Handles must:

  • Be between 6 and 64 characters long.
  • Contain only letters, numbers, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and the @ symbol.
  • Be unique across Lynkle. If your preferred handle is taken, you'll need to pick a different one.

Once you've created a card, its handle is locked and can't be changed. Choose carefully, especially if you plan to print your card URL or share it publicly. If you really need a different handle, you can create a new card and delete the old one.

On the web and iPhone, each card has a dedicated share screen. In the Android app, Copy is a direct action below the card, while Share opens the email, text, and WhatsApp options.

  1. Open the share page

    Go to Cards and tap Share card on the card you want to share.

  2. Copy your link

    Tap Copy link to copy your card URL to the clipboard. You can now paste it into a message, email, social bio, email signature, or anywhere else you want to share it.

The share page also includes built-in options to send your card via text message, email, and WhatsApp, each with a pre-filled message that introduces you and includes your link.

Because your link is short and built around your handle, it works well in a lot of places:

  • Email signatures: Add lynkle.com/yourhandle to your signature so every email becomes a chance to share your card. For a richer format, see email signatures.
  • Social bios: Drop your link into your LinkedIn, X, Instagram, or TikTok bio.
  • Text and chat: Paste your link into any text message, DM, or Slack/Teams chat.
  • Video calls: Share your link in a Zoom or Google Meet chat so attendees can save your details instantly.
  • Printed materials: Include your URL on brochures, name badges, posters, or event signage alongside your QR code.

When someone opens your link, they see your full card and can save your contact details to their phone with one tap. They don't need a Lynkle account.

Private card sharing

If you have private card sharing enabled, copying your card link gives you a secure, expiring link instead of your public lynkle.com/yourhandle URL. This keeps your contact details protected, and the link refreshes automatically so the people you've shared with keep working access.

Your handle still exists, but visiting lynkle.com/yourhandle directly returns a "not found" page for anyone without a valid secure link.
