QR code

Every Lynkle card has a built-in QR code that links directly to your card. When someone scans it with their phone camera, they can instantly view and save your contact information.

Sharing your QR code

  1. Open the share page

    Go to Cards and tap Share card on the card you want to share. This opens your share page with a full-size QR code at the top.

  2. Show the QR code

    Hold your screen up so the other person can scan the QR code with their phone camera. They'll be taken straight to your Lynkle card where they can save your contact details.

The share page also gives you other ways to send your card, including copy link, text, email, and WhatsApp.

The QR code works with any phone camera or QR code scanner app. The person scanning it doesn't need to have Lynkle installed.

Tips for using your QR code

  • Networking events: Pull up your QR code on your phone and let people scan it instead of exchanging paper cards.
  • Printed materials: Take a screenshot of your QR code and add it to business cards, brochures, name badges, or posters.
  • Presentations: Include a screenshot of your QR code on your final slide so attendees can save your details.
  • Storefronts and desks: Print your QR code and display it where visitors can easily scan it.

QR code Home Screen widget (iOS)

If you use the Lynkle iOS app, you can add a QR code widget to your iPhone Home Screen. This gives you one-tap access to your QR code without opening the app, which is perfect for networking events.

The widget is available in two sizes: small (2x2) and large (4x4). Both display your QR code with your card's background color as the border.

Adding the widget

  1. Enter jiggle mode

    Long-press on an empty area of your Home Screen until the apps start to jiggle. Tap the + button in the top-left corner.

  2. Search for Lynkle

    In the widget gallery, search for Lynkle and tap it.

  3. Choose a size

    Swipe between the small and large widget sizes. The small widget is great for quick scans up close, and the large widget is easier to scan from a distance. Tap Add Widget.

  4. Choose which card to display

    If you have more than one card, long-press the widget, tap Edit Widget, then select the card you want to show.

Tapping the widget opens the Lynkle app. If you tapped a specific card's widget, it opens that card directly.

How the widget stays up to date

The widget automatically refreshes every few hours to keep your QR code current. If you have private card sharing enabled, the widget fetches a fresh secure link each time it updates, so your card always stays protected.
